The bench-top platform consists of a fluid exchange system capable of sequentially delivering multiple reagents, while controlling temperature, sample agitation frequency and amplitude, and waste segregation.  IGOR accommodates multiple sample types including slides, blots, small embryos and tissue sections.  Additional Flexibility is achieved by using inserts for each module chamber, including horizontally and vertically positioned slide holders and WISH basket carriers.

Operational Capabilities

  • Automate most protocol steps including:
    pre-hybridization, hybridization and post-hybridization.
  • Optimize protocols using three independent temperature
    controls and nine different fluid conditions and incubation times.
  • Tailor fluid consumption for the appropriate sample number,
    type and size.
  • Stagger fluid input and removal within different module
    chambers to achieve the same sample incubation times.

Researchers can customize protocol operations by using any combination of three different slide-size, interchangeable sample modules: 1X4, 2X2 and 3X1 (number chambers/module X number horizontally situated slides/chamber).
